Vasiṣṭha–Karāla-Janaka Saṃvāda: Aśuddha-Sevana, Guṇa-Dr̥ṣṭi, and Sāṃkhya–Yoga Ekārthatā

Mahābhārata 12.293

सुखे वा यदि वा दु:खे वर्तमानो विचक्षण: । यश्चिनोति शुभान्येव स तन्त्राणीह पश्यति,जो विद्वान्‌ सुख अथवा दु:खमें रहकर भी सदा शुभकर्मका ही अनुष्ठान करता है, वही यहाँ शास्त्रोंकी देखता और समझता है

sukhe vā yadi vā duḥkhe vartamāno vicakṣaṇaḥ | yaś cinoti śubhāny eva sa tantrāṇīha paśyati |

Dù ở trong vui hay trong khổ, người sáng suốt vẫn chỉ gom góp điều lành—luôn thực hành thiện nghiệp. Người học rộng như thế mới thật sự “thấy” được các nguyên lý của śāstra ngay trong đời này, hiểu ý nghĩa của chúng qua trải nghiệm sống.
