Mahābhārata 12.292
अनहश्नाहतां प्राप्ता: सन्त: स्तुत्वा तमेव ह । नतु वृद्धिमिहान्विच्छेत् कर्म कृत्वा जुगुप्सितम्
anahaśnāhatāṁ prāptāḥ santaḥ stutvā tameva ha | na tu vṛddhim ihānvicchet karma kṛtvā jugupsitam ||
Parāśara nói: “Ngay cả những kẻ vốn không đáng được tôn kính, nhờ tán dương chính Đức Chúa ấy (Viṣṇu) mà trở thành bậc thánh đáng thờ phụng và đạt đến Ngài. Vì vậy, ở đời này, chớ mong sự thăng tiến hay phú quý chân thật bằng những hành vi đáng chê trách và ghê tởm.”
