Vasiṣṭha on Saṃsāra, Guṇas, and Misattributed Agency
Mahābhārata 12.292
एते महर्षय: स्तुत्वा विष्णुमृग्भि: समाहिता: । लेभिरे तपसा सिद्धि प्रसादात् तस्य धीमत:
ete maharṣayaḥ stutvā viṣṇum ṛgbhiḥ samāhitāḥ | lebhire tapasā siddhiṃ prasādāt tasya dhīmataḥ ||
Parāśara nói: “Những đại hiền ấy, trong trạng thái nhất tâm, đã dùng các thánh tụng Veda mà tán dương Viṣṇu; nhờ khổ hạnh họ đạt thành tựu—đều do ân huệ của bậc Chủ tể trí tuệ ấy. (Trong số đó có) Asita, Devala, Nārada, Parvata, Kakṣīvān, Paraśurāma con của Jamadagni, Tāṇḍya được nói là bậc chế ngự tâm, Vasiṣṭha, Jamadagni, Viśvāmitra, Atri, Bharadvāja, Hariśmaśru, Kuṇḍadhāra và Śrutaśravā.”
