Śoka-śamana: Kṛṣṇa’s Consolation and Nārada’s Exempla to Sṛñjaya
Chapter 29
'सृंजय! इक्ष्वाकुवंशी पुरुषसिंह महामना सगर भी मरे थे, ऐसा सुननेमें आया है। उनका पराक्रम अलौकिक था ।।
Sṛñjaya! Ikṣvākuvaṁśī puruṣasiṁha mahāmanā Sagara api mare the, iti śrūyate. Tasya parākramaḥ alaukikaḥ. Ṣaṣṭiḥ putrasahasrāṇi yaṁ yāntam anujajmire; nakṣatrarājaṁ varṣānte vyabhre jyotirgaṇā iva.
Vāyu nói: “Hỡi Sṛñjaya, người ta nghe rằng ngay cả Sagara, bậc đại hồn, sư tử giữa loài người của dòng Ikṣvāku, cũng đã qua đời. Dũng lực của ông thật phi thường. Như vào cuối mùa mưa, khi bầu trời quang mây, muôn vì sao—những đoàn ánh sáng—đi theo Chúa tể tinh tú là Mặt Trăng; cũng vậy, mỗi khi vua Sagara xuất chinh hay lên đường vì việc lớn, sáu vạn người con trai của ông đều theo sau.”
