Adhyāya 284: Tapas as a Corrective to Household Attachment

Parāśara’s Instruction

यद्‌ दग्धं भक्षितं पीतमशितं यच्च नाशितम्‌ । चूर्णीकृतापविद्धं च यज्ञसम्भारमीदृशम्‌

yad dagdhaṁ bhakṣitaṁ pītam aśitaṁ yac ca nāśitam | cūrṇīkṛtāpaviddhaṁ ca yajñasambhāram īdṛśam ||

“Những gì đã bị thiêu đốt, bị ăn, bị uống, bị dùng hết hay bị hủy hoại—và những gì bị nghiền nát rồi vứt bỏ—trong các vật phẩm tế tự ấy: xin đừng để điều nào trở thành vô ích đối với ta.”
