Yoga-kṛtya (योककृत्य) — Vyāsa on Sense-Restraint, Obstacles, and Brahman-Realization
त्रेतायां तु समस्ता ये प्रादुरासन् महाबला: । संयन्तार: स्थावराणां जड़मानां च सर्वश:,त्रेतायुगमें जो महाबली नरेश प्रकट हुए थे, वे सब-के-सब समस्त चराचर प्राणियोंके नियन्ता थे
tretāyāṃ tu samastā ye prādurāsan mahābalāḥ | saṃyantāraḥ sthāvarāṇāṃ jaḍamānāṃ ca sarvaśaḥ ||
Vyāsa nói: Trong thời Tretā, tất cả những bậc quân vương hùng mạnh xuất hiện đều là người kiềm chế và cai quản muôn loài—từ kẻ bất động cho đến kẻ u mê—giữ gìn trật tự trên toàn cõi sinh linh.
