ब्राह्मणस्य पूर्वतरा वृत्तिः — The Earlier Ideal Conduct of a Brahmana

सर्वे समरमासाद्य न श्रूयन्ते पराजिता: । सर्वे सत्यव्रतपरा: सर्वे कामविहारिण:
sarve samaram āsādya na śrūyante parājitāḥ | sarve satyavrataparāḥ sarve kāmavihāriṇaḥ ||
Bhishma nói: “Tất cả họ, khi đã bước vào chiến trường, chưa từng được nghe là bị đánh bại. Tất cả đều tận tâm giữ lời thệ nguyện chân thật, và đều đi lại, sinh sống theo những ước muốn chính đáng của mình—tự do, không bị trói buộc, và làm chủ bản thân.”
