कालनिर्णयः, युगधर्मवर्णनम्, सृष्टिक्रमश्च
Time-Reckoning, Yuga-Dharma, and the Sequence of Creation
यदि मे पश्यत: कालो भूतानि न विनाशयेत् । स्यान्मे हर्षश्न दर्पश्ष क्रोधश्षेव शचीपते
yadi me paśyataḥ kālo bhūtāni na vināśayet | syān me harṣaś ca darpaś ca krodhaś caiva śacīpate śacīpate ||
Hỡi Śacīpati! Nếu Thời không hủy diệt muôn loài ngay trước mắt ta, thì niềm hân hoan sẽ dấy lên trong ta; lòng kiêu hãnh về sức lực của chính ta sẽ dấy lên; và cả cơn phẫn nộ đối với Thời tàn nhẫn ấy cũng sẽ dấy lên. Nhưng Thời vẫn hủy diệt hết thảy—vì vậy sự đắc chí và tự phụ bị ngăn lại, và người ta buộc phải nhận ra một trật tự cao hơn, vô tư và không thiên vị.
