Prahlāda–Indra Saṃvāda: Kartṛtva (Agency) and Svabhāva (Nature) in the Causation of Karma

कणकुल्माषपिण्याकशाकयावकसक्तव: | तथा मूलफल भैक्ष्यं पर्यायेणोपयोजयेत्‌

kaṇakulmāṣapiṇyākaśākayāvakasa ktavaḥ | tathā mūlaphala-bhaikṣyaṁ paryāyeṇopayojayet ||

Bhīṣma nói: Một vị yogin nên nuôi thân bằng cách nhận, theo lượt, bất cứ thức ăn đạm bạc nào đến với mình do khất thực—như ngũ cốc, các loại đậu, bã dầu, rau lá, món chế từ lúa mạch, bột rang (sattu), và cũng như các loại rễ củ, trái cây. Trọng tâm đạo đức là tiết chế, không buông chiều, và biết đủ với những gì nhận được, không tham cầu hay kén chọn.
