Wealth, Sacrifice, and Disciplined Giving
महादेव: सर्वयज्ञे महात्मा हुत्वा$5त्मानं देवदेवो बभूव । विश्वॉल्लोकान् व्याप्य विष्ट भ्य कीर्त्या विराजते द्युतिमान् कृत्तिवासा:
mahādevaḥ sarvayajñe mahātmā hutvā ātmānaṃ devadevo babhūva | viśvāl lokān vyāpya viṣṭabhya kīrtyā virājate dyutimān kṛttivāsāḥ |
Mahādeva, bậc đại hồn, đã tự hiến chính mình trong tế lễ của sự dâng hiến trọn vẹn, và trở thành Thần của các thần. Với danh tiếng cao đẹp, ngài bao trùm khắp các thế giới và nâng đỡ chúng; Kṛttivāsā—Đấng rực sáng, kẻ khoác da—tỏa huy hoàng, nêu gương đạo hạnh của sự tự xả tuyệt đối và ly tham tối thượng.

The verse elevates complete self-offering (ātma-samarpaṇa) as the highest form of sacrifice: by giving oneself wholly for the good of the whole, one attains supreme spiritual stature. Śiva’s radiance and world-pervading fame symbolize the ethical power of renunciation and self-transcendence.
