Adhyāya 179 — Bharadvāja’s Reductionist Inquiry into Jīva and Pañcabhūta Dissolution
बोध्यं शान्तमृषिं राजा नाहुष: पर्यपृच्छत । निर्वेदाच्छान्तिमापन्नं शास्त्रप्रज्ञानतर्पितम्
bhīṣma uvāca |
bodhyaṁ śāntam ṛṣiṁ rājā nāhuṣaḥ paryapṛcchata |
nirvedāc chāntim āpannaṁ śāstra-prajñāna-tarpitam ||
Bhishma nói: Vua Nahusha đã đến hỏi hiền giả Bodhya, bậc tiên tri an tĩnh, đã đạt được an lạc nhờ ly dục và đã thỏa mãn trọn vẹn bởi tri kiến tối thượng của kinh điển. Cảnh ấy mở ra một cuộc vấn đạo về đạo đức: một bậc quân vương cầu sự sáng tỏ tìm đến người xuất gia, kẻ có nội tâm lặng yên và trí tuệ kinh điển, đủ tư cách chỉ đường cho nếp sống đúng đắn.
