प्रजाविसर्ग-तत्त्वनिर्णयः | Cosmogony of Elemental Emergence

को हि जानाति कस्याद्य मृत्युकालो भविष्यति । (न मृत्युरामन्त्रयते हर्तुकामो जगत्प्रभु: । अबुद्ध एवाक्रमते मीनान् मीनग्रहो यथा ।।
ko hi jānāti kasyādya mṛtyukālo bhaviṣyati | na mṛtyur āmantrayate hartukāmo jagatprabhuḥ | abuddha evākramate mīnān mīnagraho yathā || yuvāiva dharmaśīlaḥ syād anityaṃ khalu jīvitam | kṛte dharme bhavet kīrtir iha pretya ca vai sukham ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Ai biết được ngay hôm nay thời khắc chết sẽ đến với ai? Tử thần, bậc chúa tể của toàn thế gian, khi muốn cướp đi một người thì chẳng hề gửi lời mời trước. Nó ra tay trong vô hình—như kẻ chài bất thần chụp lấy đàn cá. Vì thế, hãy chuyên tâm với dharma từ khi còn trẻ, bởi đời sống thật vô thường. Khi thực hành dharma, người ta được tiếng thơm ở đời này, và hạnh phúc ở đời sau nữa.”
