राजधर्मोवाच भो: कश्यपस्य पुत्रो5हं माता दाक्षायणी च मे । अतिथि्त्वं गुणोपेत: स्वागत ते द्विजोत्तम,राजधर्मा बोला--द्विजश्रेष्ठ! मैं महर्षि कश्यपका पुत्र हूँ। मेरी माता दक्ष प्रजापतिकी कन्या हैं। आप गुणवान्‌ अतिथि हैं, मैं आपका स्वागत करता हूँ

rājadharma uvāca bhoḥ: kaśyapasya putro 'haṃ mātā dākṣāyaṇī ca me | atithitvaṃ guṇopetaḥ svāgataṃ te dvijottama ||

Rājadharma nói: “Bạch bậc tối thượng trong hàng ‘nhị sinh’! Ta là con của Kaśyapa, và mẹ ta là Dākṣāyaṇī, ái nữ của Dakṣa Prajāpati. Ngài đến đây làm khách, đầy đủ đức hạnh; xin đón chào, hỡi bậc tối thượng trong hàng Bà-la-môn.”
