तमेकमसुरा: सर्वे सहस्नमिति मेनिरे । शीघ्रतापूर्वक पैर उठानेके कारण विचित्र गतिसे विचरण करनेवाले एकमात्र खड्गधारी रुद्रदेवको वे सब असुर सहस्रोंक समान समझने लगे
tam ekam asurāḥ sarve sahasram iti meṇire | śīghratā-pūrvaka-pada-uddhāna-kāraṇāt vicitra-gatyā vicaraṇa-śīlaṁ ekamātra-khaḍga-dhāriṇaṁ rudradevaṁ te sarve 'surāḥ sahasrāṇāṁ samam aśaṁsanta |
Bhishma nói: Tất cả các Asura, thấy Rudra chỉ một mình—bước đi kỳ lạ mà mau lẹ vì chân nhấc lên liên hồi, tay cầm kiếm—đều lầm tưởng chiến binh đơn độc ấy là một lực lượng ngang với hàng nghìn người.
