अध्याय १५२: लोभः पापस्य मूलम् — Greed as the Root of Wrongdoing
यथा ते मत्कृते क्षेमं लभन्ते ते तथा कुरु । प्रतिजानीहि चाद्रोहं ब्राह्मणानां नराधिप,ब्राह्मणलोग मेरे कारण जैसे भी सकुशल रहें, वैसा ही प्रयत्न तुम करो। नरेश्वर! तुम मेरे सामने यह प्रतिज्ञा करो कि अब मैं ब्राह्मणोंसे कभी द्रोह नहीं करूँगा
yathā te matkṛte kṣemaṃ labhante te tathā kuru | pratijānīhi cādrohaṃ brāhmaṇānāṃ narādhipa ||
Śaunaka nói: “Hãy hành xử sao cho các Bà-la-môn mà ta đứng ra vì họ được an ổn và phúc lành. Và, hỡi bậc quân vương, hãy thề trước mặt ta rằng từ nay ngươi sẽ không còn nuôi lòng thù nghịch với các Bà-la-môn nữa.”
