ततः स देहमोक्षार्थ सम्प्रहषष्टेन चेतसा,अभ्यधावत वर्धन्तं पावकं लुब्धकस्तदा । बहेलिया अपने शरीरका परित्याग करनेके लिये मनमें हर्ष और उल्लास भरकर उस बढ़ती हुई आगकी ओर दौड़ पड़ा
tataḥ sa dehamokṣārthaṃ samprahṛṣṭena cetasā, abhyadhāvat vardhantaṃ pāvakaṃ lubdhakas tadā |
Bhīṣma nói: Rồi người thợ săn, lòng tràn niềm hân hoan và kích động, chạy thẳng về phía ngọn lửa đang bùng lớn, với ý định trút bỏ thân xác. Cảnh ấy nêu bật một quyết tâm lạnh lùng: bị thúc đẩy bởi quyết định chấm dứt đời sống hữu thân, hắn đi vào tự hủy diệt thay vì quay lại với tiết chế hay sám hối.
