The Hunter and the Pigeon Couple: Expiation and Refuge-Ethics
नास्ति भार्यासमो बन्धुर्नास्ति भार्यासमा गति: । नास्ति भाययासमो लोके सहायो धर्मसंग्रहे
nāsti bhāryāsamo bandhur nāsti bhāryāsamā gatiḥ | nāsti bhāryāsamo loke sahāyo dharmasaṅgrahe ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Trong đời này, không có người thân nào sánh bằng người vợ; không có nơi nương tựa hay con đường sống nào sánh bằng người vợ; và trong việc gìn giữ, vun bồi dharma cũng không có người trợ giúp nào sánh bằng người vợ. Nàng là bạn đồng hành gần gũi nhất và là chỗ nâng đỡ hữu hiệu nhất cho một đời sống được sắp đặt theo chính đạo.”
