कपोती-विलापः स्वर्गसंयोगश्च
The Dove’s Lament and Celestial Reunion
ये नृशंसा दुरात्मान: प्राणिप्राणहरा नरा: । उद्बवेजनीया भूतानां व्याला इव भवन्ति ते
ye nṛśaṃsā durātmānaḥ prāṇiprāṇaharā narāḥ | udvejanīyā bhūtānāṃ vyālā iva bhavanti te ||
Bhīṣma nói: Những kẻ tàn bạo, tâm địa ác độc, đoạt mạng các loài hữu tình, sẽ trở thành đối tượng bị mọi sinh linh khiếp sợ và ghê tởm—như rắn độc. Lời dạy rằng bạo lực sinh từ sự hung ác khiến con người bị cô lập khỏi cộng đồng đạo lý: đời ấy khiến người ta bị sợ hãi khắp nơi chứ không được kính trọng.
