Protection of the Refuge-Seeker: Opening of the Kapota Narrative
योडरिणा सह संधाय सुखं स्वपिति विश्वसन् | स वृक्षाग्रे प्रसुप्तो वा पतितः प्रतिबुद्धयते
yo 'riṇā saha sandhāya sukhaṁ svapiti viśvasan | sa vṛkṣāgre prasupto vā patitaḥ pratibudhyate ||
Bhīṣma nói: Kẻ lập giao ước với kẻ thù rồi an nhiên ngủ yên, tin tưởng hắn, chẳng khác nào người ngủ mê trên ngọn cây—chỉ khi rơi xuống mới tỉnh. Lời dạy ấy là lời cảnh tỉnh chống lại sự cả tin với kẻ mang lòng đối nghịch: niềm tin đặt sai chỗ rước lấy tai ương, và sự tỉnh ngộ thường chỉ đến sau khi đã bị tổn hại.
