Transliteration

līnaḥ sa tasya gātreṣu palito deśa-kāla-vit | ciccheda pāśān nṛpate kālāpekṣī śanaiḥ śanaiḥ ||

Translation

Bhīṣma nói: Con chuột xám, tinh thông việc xét đoán nơi chốn và thời cơ, đã ẩn mình sát bên thân con mèo, chờ đúng khoảnh khắc thích hợp; vừa canh chừng hiểm họa đang đến gần, nó vừa chậm rãi mà bền bỉ gặm đứt từng vòng thòng lọng, tâu Đại vương.
