अर्थार्थी जीवलोको<यं न कश्रित् कस्यचित् प्रिय: । सख्यं सोदर्ययोर्भ्रन्रोर्दम्पत्योर्वां परस्परम्
arthārthī jīvaloko 'yaṁ na kaścit kasyacit priyaḥ | sakhyaṁ sodaryayor bhrātroḥ dampatyor vāṁ parasparam ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Thế gian của muôn loài này bị thúc đẩy bởi lợi ích riêng; không ai thật sự là người thân yêu của ai nếu không vì một mục đích nào đó. Ngay cả tình bằng hữu giữa anh em cùng mẹ, hay tình nghĩa vợ chồng, cũng thường đặt trên sự lợi lộc qua lại.”
