Apaddharma Determination: Dialogue of Viśvāmitra and the Śvapaca
कृत्वा हि पूर्व मित्राणि यः पश्चान्नानुतिष्ठति । न स मित्राणि लभते कृच्छास्वापत्सु दुर्मति:
kṛtvā hi pūrva mitrāṇi yaḥ paścān nānutiṣṭhati | na sa mitrāṇi labhate kṛcchrāsv āpatsu durmatiḥ ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Kẻ ngu muội, ban đầu kết giao nhiều bạn hữu nhưng về sau không giữ lòng bền chặt trong tình bằng hữu, thì khi tai ương khắc nghiệt ập đến sẽ chẳng còn được những người bạn ấy. Trong lúc khốn cùng, kẻ dại không nhận được trợ giúp từ chính những mối dây mà mình đã bỏ bê.”
