छेत्स्याम्यहं तमप्याशु निर्वतो भव लोमश । “मैंने बहुतसे तंतु काट डाले हैं, केवल एक ही डोरी बाकी रख छोड़ी है। उसे भी मैं शीघ्र ही काट डालूँगा; अत: लोमश! तुम शान्त रहो, घबराओ न' ।।
chetsyāmy ahaṃ tam apy āśu nirvato bhava lomaśa | tayoḥ saṃvadator evaṃ tathaivāpannayor dvayoḥ ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Ta đã chặt đứt nhiều sợi rồi; chỉ còn lại một sợi dây cuối cùng. Ta cũng sẽ cắt nốt ngay, không chậm trễ. Vì thế, hỡi Lomasha, hãy bình tâm—đừng hoảng sợ, đừng ưu phiền.” Khi hai người đối thoại như vậy, cả hai vẫn ở trong cùng một cảnh ngộ khốn cùng như trước.
