आपद्धर्मे राज्ञः नीतिः — Bharadvāja’s Counsel on Crisis-Statecraft (Śānti Parva 138)

परीक्ष्यकारी युक्तश्न स सम्यगुपपादयेत्‌ । देशकालावभिप्रेतो ताभ्यां फलमवाप्नुयात्‌

parīkṣyakārī yuktaśna sa samyag upapādayet | deśakālāv abhipreto tābhyāṃ phalam avāpnuyāt ||

Bhīṣma nói: “Người biết xét kỹ rồi mới hành động, giữ nề nếp kỷ luật và luôn tỉnh giác, thì nên tiến hành mọi việc của mình cho đúng phép. Khi cân nhắc nơi chốn và thời điểm như ý, người ấy biết dùng cả hai cho thỏa đáng; nhờ sự trợ lực của chúng mà đạt được kết quả mình mong cầu.”
