भीष्म उवाच विज्ञानबलमास्थाय जीवितव्यं तथागते । सर्व साध्वर्थमेवेदमसाध्वर्थ न किंचन

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca vijñānabalam āsthāya jīvitavyaṃ tathāgate | sarva-sādhv-artham evedaṃ asādhv-artha na kiṃcana ||

Translation

Bhīṣma đáp: “Khi tình thế như vậy đã xảy đến, người ta phải nương vào sức mạnh của trí phân biệt và chân tri để giữ lấy mạng sống. Mọi của cải và nguồn lực thấy trong đời này vốn dành cho người thiện, người có đức; đối với kẻ ác, thật ra chẳng có gì là thuộc về họ một cách chính đáng.”
