यम उवाच तपःशौचवता नित्यं सत्यधर्मरतेन च | मातापित्रोरहरह: पूजनं कार्यमज्जसा

Transliteration

yama uvāca tapaḥ-śaucavatā nityaṁ satya-dharma-ratena ca | mātā-pitror ahar-ahaḥ pūjanaṁ kāryam ajjasā ||

Translation

Diêm Vương nói: “Con người phải luôn thực hành khổ hạnh, giữ thân tâm thanh tịnh, và chuyên tâm phụng trì pháp của lời nói chân thật. Làm được như thế rồi, người ấy phải hằng ngày, không chậm trễ, phụng sự và kính lễ cha mẹ.”
