Gautama–Yama Saṃvāda: Mātṛ-Pitṛ-Ṛṇa (Debt to Parents) and Śubha-Loka Attainment
एतत् कारणसामर्थ्य श्रोतुमिच्छामि तत्त्वत: । भवन्तो5पि तपोनित्या ब्रूयुरेतत् समन्विता:
etad kāraṇa-sāmarthyaṁ śrotum icchāmi tattvataḥ | bhavanto 'pi tapo-nityā brūyur etat samanvitāḥ ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Ta muốn được nghe, đúng như chân lý và với sự minh bạch trọn vẹn, về nguyên nhân ấy và sức mạnh hiệu dụng của nó. Các ngài cũng luôn chuyên chú khổ hạnh; vậy xin hãy cùng tụ hội trong hòa hợp mà giảng giải điều này. Nếu việc ta hỏi làm nhiễu loạn sự tu khổ hạnh, ta sẽ dừng; còn nếu có thời giờ đàm luận, xin hãy giải mối nghi mà ta đã nêu.”
