Gautama–Yama Saṃvāda: Mātṛ-Pitṛ-Ṛṇa (Debt to Parents) and Śubha-Loka Attainment
भवन्त: सुमहाभागास्तस्मात् पृच्छामि संशयम् । आशावान् पुरुषो यः स्यादन्तरिक्षमथापि वा
bhavantaḥ sumahābhāgās tasmāt pṛcchāmi saṁśayam | āśāvān puruṣo yaḥ syād antarīkṣam athāpi vā |
Bhīṣma nói: “Các ngài là những bậc phúc đức lớn lao và thành tựu; vì thế ta xin hỏi để giải mối nghi trong lòng. Nếu một bên là người được nâng đỡ bởi hy vọng, còn một bên là bầu trời vô tận—xét theo thước đo ‘vĩ đại’ của thế gian, các ngài thấy bên nào lớn hơn? Ta muốn nghe sự thật. Đã đến đây rồi, còn điều gì là khó đạt được nữa?”
