त्रिवर्गमूलनिश्चयः — Determining the Roots of Dharma, Artha, and Kāma

एक दिन इन्द्रके सम्मानित सखा उदारचेता शत्रुसूदन राजा मान्धाता उनके दर्शनके लिये आये ।।

Transliteration

sopasṛtya tu māndhātā vasuhomaṃ narādhipam | dṛṣṭvā prakṛṣṭatapasaṃ vinato 'gre 'bhyatiṣṭhat ||

Translation

Bhīṣma nói: Vua Māndhātā đến gần bậc vương hiền Vasuhoma. Thấy ngài đầy đủ khổ hạnh cao cả, Māndhātā khiêm cung cúi lạy và đứng trang nghiêm trước mặt—cho thấy vương đạo chân chính biết tôn kính kỷ luật tu hành và tìm lời chỉ giáo bằng lòng kính trọng, chứ không bằng kiêu mạn.
