कदाचित्‌ कालयोगेन सर्वप्राणिविहिंसक: । बलवान्‌ क्षतजाहारो नानासच्त्वभयंकर:

Transliteration

kadācit kālayogena sarva-prāṇi-vihiṃsakaḥ | balavān kṣata-jāhāro nānā-sattva-bhayaṃkaraḥ ||

Translation

Bhishma nói: “Một lần, theo vòng xoay của thời vận, xuất hiện một sinh vật hùng mạnh—kẻ làm hại mọi loài hữu tình. Sống bằng máu, nó trở thành nỗi kinh hoàng đối với muôn loài thú rừng.”
