Vyāghra–Gomāyu Saṃvāda (व्याघ्रगोमायु संवाद) — Testing Character Beneath Appearances

स्थापितो<यं त्वया पुत्र सामन्तेष्वपि विश्रुत: । दुःखेनासाद्यते पात्र धार्यतामेष ते सुहत्‌

sthāpito ’yaṁ tvayā putra sāmanteṣv api viśrutaḥ | duḥkhena āsādyate pātraṁ dhāryatām eṣa te suhṛt ||

Bhishma nói: “Con trai ta, chính con đã đặt kẻ này vào chức vị tể thần, và danh tiếng của hắn đã lan rộng cả trong hàng chư hầu của con. Người thật sự xứng đáng thì khó mà tìm được. ‘Con chó rừng’ này là bằng hữu thân tín, kẻ luôn mong điều lành cho con; vì thế hãy che chở và nâng đỡ hắn.”
