स्वर्मेण जिता लोका: को नु स्वन्ततरो मया । दिष्ट्या नाहं जित: संख्ये परान् प्रेष्यवदाश्रित:
svarmeṇa jitā lokāḥ ko nu svantataro mayā | diṣṭyā nāhaṃ jitaḥ saṅkhye parān preṣyavad āśritaḥ ||
Sañjaya nói: “Nhờ chính hạnh kiểm của ta, ta đã chinh phục các cõi trời—ai có thể tự chủ hơn ta? Nhờ phúc lành, ta không bị đánh bại nơi chiến trận, cũng không bị hạ xuống kiếp phải nương tựa kẻ khác như một kẻ hầu.”
