yathā saṁhṛṣyate pāpaḥ pāṇḍuputro vṛkodaraḥ |
Sañjaya nói: “Chiến thắng nhờ phi pháp, bậc trí nào có thể hân hoan? Thế mà Vṛkodara—Bhīmasena, con của Pāṇḍu—kẻ mang tội lỗi, lại vui mừng đúng như vậy.”

The verse frames victory as ethically meaningful: triumph gained through adharma should not be a cause for joy, and rejoicing in such a victory is portrayed as a moral failing.
Sañjaya comments critically on Bhīma (Vṛkodara), describing him as rejoicing after a victory that is implied to have been achieved by unrighteous means, thereby emphasizing the ethical tension within the war’s outcomes.
