Adhyāya 14: Śalya’s Missile-Pressure and the Pāṇḍava Convergence (शल्यस्य शरवर्षम्)
हताश्वे तु रथे तिष्ठन् द्रोणपुत्रस्त्वयस्मयम्
hatāśve tu rathe tiṣṭhan droṇaputrastvayasmayam
Sañjaya thưa: Đứng trên chiến xa đã mất ngựa, con trai của Droṇa (Aśvatthāmā) vẫn vững vàng—tinh thần không khuất phục—tiếp tục công việc u ám của chiến trận, dù phương tiện di chuyển và che chở đã bị phá tan. Khoảnh khắc ấy cho thấy trong chiến tranh, ý chí có thể tồn tại vượt lên trên chỗ dựa vật chất, đồng thời khơi dậy căng thẳng đạo lý giữa lòng can đảm kiên định và đà hủy diệt của thù hận.
