Duryodhana’s Final Condition, Lamentation, and the Night’s Report
अश्वत्थामा कृपश्चैव कृतवर्मा च सात्वत: । दुर्योधनको इस प्रकार खूनसे लथपथ हो पृथ्वीपर पड़ा देख मरनेसे बचे हुए वे तीनों वीर अश्वत्थामा
sañjaya uvāca | aśvatthāmā kṛpaś caiva kṛtavarmā ca sātvatāḥ | duryodhanaṃ tathā bhūmau śoṇitena pariplutam | dṛṣṭvā te trayaḥ śiṣṭāḥ śokasaṃtaptamānasāḥ | parivārya samantāt taṃ niṣeduḥ paridevitāḥ ||
Sañjaya nói: Aśvatthāma, Kripa và Kṛtavarmā thuộc dòng Satvata—thấy Duryodhana nằm trên đất, đẫm máu—ba dũng sĩ còn sống ấy, tâm can cháy sém vì sầu thảm, ngồi vây quanh chàng bốn phía mà than khóc.
