अध्याय ९ — दुर्योधनस्य अन्त्यावस्था, विलापः, तथा सौप्तिक-प्रतिवृत्तम्
Duryodhana’s Final Condition, Lamentation, and the Night’s Report
एवमेष क्षयो वृत्त: कुरुपाण्डवसेनयो: । घोरो विशसनो रीौद्रो राजन् दुर्मन्त्रिते तव,राजन! इस प्रकार आपकी कुमन्त्रणाके अनुसार कौरवों तथा पाण्डवोंकी सेनाओंका यह घोर एवं भयंकर विनाशकार्य सम्पन्न हुआ है
evam eṣa kṣayo vṛttaḥ kurupāṇḍava-senayoḥ | ghoro viśasano raudro rājan durmantrite tava ||
Sañjaya thưa: “Tâu Đại vương, như vậy sự diệt vong đã giáng xuống quân đội nhà Kuru và Pāṇḍava—khủng khiếp, đẫm máu, hung bạo—do chính lời khuyên lầm lạc của ngài.”
