अश्वत्थाम-शापः, परिक्षिद्भविष्यत्, मणि-न्यासः
Aśvatthāman’s Curse, Parikṣit’s Future, and the Mani’s Restitution
तस्य तद् वचन साथो: सत्यमेतद् भविष्यति । परिक्षिद् भविता होषां पुनर्वशकर: सुतः,“उस साधु ब्राह्मणका वह वचन सत्य होगा। उत्तराका पुत्र परीक्षित् ही पुनः पाण्डववंशका प्रवर्तक होगा?”
tasya tad vacanaṁ sādhoḥ satyam etad bhaviṣyati | parīkṣid bhavitā hy eṣāṁ punar vaśakaraḥ sutaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: “Lời của vị bà-la-môn thánh thiện ấy ắt sẽ ứng nghiệm. Parīkṣit, người con (sinh từ Uttarā), sẽ xuất hiện và lại một lần nữa phục hưng, gìn giữ dòng dõi Pāṇḍava.”
