Aśvatthāman’s Curse, Parikṣit’s Future, and the Mani’s Restitution
विचरिष्यसि पापात्मन् सर्वव्याधिसमन्वित: । ओ नीच! तू जनसमुदायमें नहीं ठहर सकेगा। तेरे शरीरसे पीव और लोहूकी दुर्गन््ध निकलती रहेगी; अतः तुझे दुर्गम स्थानोंका ही आश्रय लेना पड़ेगा। पापात्मन्! तू सभी रोगोंसे पीड़ित होकर इधर-उधर भटकेगा
vicarīṣyasi pāpātman sarvavyādhisamanvitaḥ |
Vaiśampāyana nói: «Hỡi kẻ lòng dạ tội lỗi, ngươi sẽ lang thang, mắc đủ mọi bệnh tật. Không thể ở giữa loài người, ngươi sẽ bị xua đến những nơi hoang vắng, hiểm trở, vì từ thân ngươi sẽ luôn bốc ra mùi hôi của mủ và máu.»
