Brahmaśirastra-pratisaṃhāra — Retraction and redirection of the supreme weapon
Sauptika Parva, Adhyāya 15
विसृष्टस्य रणे तस्य परमास्त्रस्य संग्रहे । अशक्तः पाण्डवादन्य: साक्षादपि शतक्रतु:
visṛṣṭasya raṇe tasya paramāstrasya saṅgrahe | aśaktaḥ pāṇḍavād anyaḥ sākṣād api śatakratuḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: Khi thứ thần khí tối thượng ấy đã được phóng ra giữa chiến địa, không một ai khác trong hàng Pāṇḍava có đủ năng lực thu hồi và hấp thụ nó trở lại—thậm chí Śatakratu (Indra) cũng không làm nổi. Đoạn này nhấn mạnh trách nhiệm nặng nề đi kèm vũ khí thần linh: một khi đã tung ra, việc gọi nó quay về khó đến phi thường, và chỉ bậc tinh thông cùng biết tự chế mới có thể ngăn dòng hủy diệt của nó.
