अध्याय १ — न्यग्रोधवनोपवेशनम् तथा द्रौणिनिश्चयः
Night at the Banyan and Drauṇi’s Resolve
कृतं सत्यं वचस्तस्य विदुरस्थ महात्मन: । अकुर्वता वचस्तेन मम पुत्रेण संजय,संजय! मेरे पुत्रने मेरी बात न मानकर महात्मा विदुरके कहे हुए वचनको सत्य कर दिखाया
kṛtaṃ satyaṃ vacas tasya vidurastha mahātmanaḥ | akurvatā vacas tena mama putreṇa saṃjaya ||
Sañjaya thưa: “Lời của bậc đại hồn Vidura đã thành sự thật. Vì không nghe theo lời khuyên ấy, con trai ta đã khiến chính điều Vidura báo trước xảy ra.”
