मृष्यन्ति कुरवश्लेमे मनन्‍्ये कालस्य पर्ययम्‌ । स्‍्नुषां दुहितरं चैव क्लिश्यमानामनर्हतीम्‌

Transliteration

mṛṣyanti kuravaḥ śleṣme manye kālasya paryayam | snuṣāṃ duhitaraṃ caiva kliśyamānām anarhatīm ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana nói: “Nhà Kuru chịu đựng trong im lặng; ta cho rằng đây là một khúc quanh tàn nhẫn của Thời gian. Bởi ở đây, một nàng dâu—thật vậy, như một người con gái—không đáng bị như thế, đang bị hành hạ, mà toàn dòng Kuru vẫn cam chịu.”
