वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights a breach of dharma: a woman who was traditionally protected from public gaze within the household is forced into public exposure in a male assembly. It underscores the ethical collapse of the court when shame, consent, and dignity are disregarded.
The narrator describes the shocking moment when a secluded woman—understood in context as Draupadī—is brought into the sabhā (royal assembly) and made visible before a crowd, marking a pivotal act of humiliation and injustice in the Sabha Parva.
