मयस्य प्रतिकृतिः — Maya’s Offer and the Commissioning of the Sabhā
यां कृतां नानुकुर्वन्ति मानवा: प्रेक्ष्य विस्मिता: । मनुष्यलोके सकले तादृशीं कुरु वै सभाम्
yāṁ kṛtāṁ nānukurvanti mānavāḥ prekṣya vismitāḥ | manuṣyaloke sakale tādṛśīṁ kuru vai sabhām ||
“Hãy dựng một đại sảnh nghị triều như thế: khi hoàn thành, muôn người trong cõi nhân gian nhìn thấy đều kinh ngạc, và không ai có thể bắt chước được.”
अजुन उवाच
The verse highlights how visible institutions—like a royal assembly hall—serve as symbols of orderly rule and legitimacy. Excellence here is tied to public recognition and the consolidation of political authority, not merely personal luxury.
Arjuna instructs that an extraordinary sabhā be constructed—so remarkable that all people will be astonished on seeing it and unable to replicate it—signaling the rise and stature of the ruling house through an unmatched public space.
