तत् तस्मै तद् यथावृत्तं वासुदेव: सहार्जुन: । कथयामास कर्णस्य निधन यदुपुड्भवः,उस समय अर्जुनसहित यदुकुलतिलक वसुदेवनन्दन भगवान् श्रीकृष्णने कर्णके मारे जानेका सारा समाचार उन्हें यथावत्रूपसे कह सुनाया
tat tasmai tad yathāvṛttaṃ vāsudevaḥ sahārjunaḥ | kathayāmāsa karṇasya nidhanaṃ yadu-puṅgavaḥ ||
Sañjaya nói: Khi ấy Vāsudeva—Kṛṣṇa, bậc tối thượng trong dòng Yadu—cùng với Arjuna, thuật lại cho vua nghe đúng như đã xảy ra, toàn bộ câu chuyện về cái chết của Karṇa.
