भवश्चैव स्थितो याने दिव्ये तं देशमागमत् । ब्रह्मर्षियों तथा प्रजापतियोंके साथ ब्रह्मा और महादेवजी भी दिव्य विमानपर स्थित हो उस प्रदेशमें आये ।। समेतौ तौ महात्मानौ दृष्टवा कर्णधनंजयौ
bhavaś caiva sthito yāne divye taṁ deśam āgamat | brahmarṣīṁs tathā prajāpatīn̄āṁke sātha brahmā ca mahādevaś ca divya-vimāna-pari sthitau taṁ pradeśam āyātau || sametau tau mahātmānau dṛṣṭvā karṇa-dhanañjayau |
Sañjaya nói: “Bhava (Śiva), ngự trên cỗ xe trời, đã đến vùng ấy. Brahmā và Mahādeva cũng đến nơi đó, đứng trên phi xa thần diệu, cùng đoàn Brahmarṣi và các Prajāpati. Thấy hai bậc đại thần ấy hội tụ, Karṇa và Dhanañjaya (Arjuna) cũng nhìn thấy các ngài.”
संजय उवाच
The verse frames the battlefield as a moral-cosmic arena: even the highest divine and sage authorities are portrayed as witnesses. This underscores that actions in war are not merely political or personal but are judged against dharma, with consequences extending beyond human sight.
Sañjaya reports a theophanic moment: Bhava/Śiva arrives in a celestial vehicle, accompanied by Brahmā, Mahādeva, Brahmarṣis, and Prajāpatis. Karṇa and Arjuna see these great beings assembled, heightening the gravity of their impending confrontation.
