महाबली भीमसेन उस गजसेनाका संहार करके पुनः अपने रथपर आ बैठे और अर्जुनके पीछे-पीछे चलने लगे ।।
sañjaya uvāca |
mahābalī bhīmasenaḥ sa gajasenāṃ nihatyātha punar rathopaviśya arjunasya pṛṣṭhataḥ pṛṣṭhataḥ anvayāt ||
tataḥ parāṅmukha-prāyaṃ nirutsāhaṃ balaṃ tava |
vyālambata mahārāja prāyaśaḥ śastra-veṣṭitam ||
Sañjaya nói: Sau khi tiêu diệt đạo quân voi ấy, Bhīmasena đại lực lại lên chiến xa và đi theo sau Arjuna. Rồi, tâu Đại vương, quân của ngài—phần lớn bị vũ khí của Bhīma và Arjuna vây bủa bốn phía—trở nên mất nhuệ khí, quay mặt như muốn tháo lui, đứng sững đờ đẫn.
