tām antarīkṣe vitatāṁ śastravṛṣṭiṁ samantataḥ | vyadhamat pāṇḍavo bāṇais tamaḥ sūrya ivāṁśubhiḥ ||
Sañjaya nói: Người Pāṇḍava đã dùng mũi tên của mình xua tan cơn mưa vũ khí trải khắp bầu trời bốn phía—như mặt trời với tia sáng đẩy lùi bóng tối.

The verse highlights disciplined resistance to destructive force: in the chaos of war, a righteous warrior counters an indiscriminate barrage with focused skill, symbolically restoring clarity—like sunlight removing darkness.
Sañjaya describes a moment in battle where a widespread ‘rain of weapons’ fills the sky; the Pāṇḍava answers by shooting arrows that scatter and neutralize that barrage, compared to the sun’s rays dispelling darkness.
