तेषामापततां तत्र शरवर्षाणि मुज्चताम् । अर्जुनो व्यधमत् सैन्यं महावातो घनानिव,परंतु जैसे आँधी बादलोंको छिन्न-भिन्न कर देती है, उसी प्रकार अर्जुनने बाणोंकी वर्षापूर्वक आक्रमण करनेवाले उन समस्त योद्धाओंका संहार कर डाला
teṣām āpatatāṃ tatra śaravarṣāṇi muñcatām | arjuno vyadhamat sainyaṃ mahāvāto ghanān iva ||
Sañjaya nói: Khi các chiến binh ấy xông tới và trút mưa tên tại đó, Arjuna đã nghiền nát đạo quân của họ—như cơn cuồng phong xé tan từng khối mây dày. Hình ảnh ấy nhấn mạnh sức mạnh áp đảo của kỹ nghệ có kỷ luật: lòng can đảm thiếu chừng mực và phối hợp sẽ sụp đổ trước bậc thầy thực thụ.
