रथं ससूतं सहयं च कज्चित् कश्रिद्रथी मृत्युवशं निनाय । निनाय चाप्येकगजेन कश्रिद् रथान् बहून् मृत्युवशे तथाश्वान्
rathaṁ sasūtaṁ sahayaṁ ca kaścit kaścid rathī mṛtyuvaśaṁ nināya | nināya cāpy ekagajena kaścid rathān bahūn mṛtyuvaśe tathāśvān |
Sañjaya nói: Giữa cơn hỗn chiến ấy, một chiến xa dũng sĩ đã đẩy một chiến xa dũng sĩ khác vào tay Thần Chết—cả cỗ xe, người đánh xe và tùy tùng đều cùng chung số phận. Lại có một anh hùng khác, chỉ dùng một con voi, cũng xô dồn nhiều chiến xa và cả ngựa vào vòng kìm tỏa của tử thần. Thế trận cho thấy đà tàn khốc, vô phân biệt của chiến tranh, nơi sức mạnh trong chớp mắt hóa thành hủy diệt lan tràn.
