कर्णनिधनवृत्तान्तनिवेदनम् | Reporting Karṇa’s Fall to Yudhiṣṭhira
अथ कौशिकमभ्येत्य प्राहुस्ते सत्यवादिनम् । कतमेन पथा याता भगवन् बहवो जना:
atha kauśikam abhyetya prāhus te satyavādinam | katamena pathā yātā bhagavan bahavo janāḥ ||
Rồi họ đến gần hiền giả Kauśika, bậc nổi tiếng nói lời chân thật, và thưa: “Bạch đấng tôn kính, nhiều người đã đi theo lối nào?” Câu hỏi ấy đặt ra một phép thử đạo lý: lòng giữ sự thật phải được vận dụng ra sao khi lời nói có thể ảnh hưởng đến an nguy của kẻ khác.
